  1.                          Dirutily Quick Reference Sheet

  3. F1 -- COPY
  4.   Copy files to destination path given. If path does not exist, you will
  5.   be prompted to create the subdirectory.  File overwrite protection is
  6.   an option in the profile.  If the target disk is full, it will look for
  7.   smaller marked files to copy to utilize as much disk space as possible.
  8.  
  9. F2 -- DELETE
  10.   Deletes files and empty subdirectories.
  11.  
  12. F3 -- RENAME
  13.   Renames files or subdirectories.  An * can be used as a place holder for
  14.   either the file name or extension. This will also work on marked files.
  15.  
  16. F4 -- MOVE
  17.   Move files to destination path given. If path does not exist, you will
  18.   be prompted to create the subdirectory.  File overwrite protection is
  19.   an option in the profile. If the target disk is full, it will look for
  20.   smaller marked files to move to utilize as much disk space as possible.

  22. F5-F9 -- SORT
  23.   Will sort the directory according to the function key you select. You can
  24.   select a default sort option in the profile.
  25.  
  26. F10 -- NEW DISK/PATH
  27.   Allows you to load a new directory and or drive.
  28.  
  29. ESC -- QUIT/ABORT
  30.   Will abort any operation you are being prompted for. It will also abort
  31.   any operation being preformed on marked files. If it is pressed when no
  32.   operation has been selected, you will be exited to DOS.

  34. ENTER -- LOAD DIRECTORY/BROWSE
  35.   If the current line is a <DIR> entry, that subdirectory will be loaded. If
  36.   the current line is a file, it will browsed if a browse utility was defined
  37.   in the profile.

  39. Some Helpful Hints:
  40.  
  41. - When you are in a subdirectory, you can put the bounce bar on the " . "
  42.   subdirectory entry and reload the current directory. If you press Enter on
  43.   the " .. " subdirectory entry, the parent directory of the current directory
  44.   will be loaded.
  45.  
  46. - To locate a file name or subdirectory name fast, push the first character
  47.   of the file name and you will be placed on the first file name starting with
  48.   that character. Press it again and you will be placed on the next file that
  49.   begins with that character and so on.  You can also use a "." to locate the
  50.   "."  and ".." entries. If you have the directory sorted by extension and you
  51.   press a character, first subdirectories starting with that character are
  52.   searched for then it will search for file extensions.

  54. - The Tab key works just like the down arrow key to scroll the list down.
  55.  
  56. - Shift + Tab key works just like the up arrow key to scroll the list up.

  58. - Copy Dirutily.Exe and the profile to a ram disk for faster loading.
  59.  
  60. - Put the following command in your Autoexec.Bat so Dirutily can find the
  61.   profile. Reboot to make this change take effect.
  62.                      Example:  SET DIRUTILY=D:\DIRUTILY.PRO
  63.  
  64. - Run Dirucust utility to incorporate the profile into Dirutily, then you don't
  65.   have to worry about loading the profile and it will speed up Dirutily loading.
